Let it Snow!

We had a snow storm on Friday! It snowed all day, but because the temperatures never dropped below freezing it didn't accumulate like it would back home. Still, on Saturday there was enough snow on the ground for the kids to play and have a great time.

First Lesson at Mountain View Riding ClubI was so proud of Braden when he took his first lesson last week. His teacher disconnected the lead rope that she uses to help guide the horse, and let Braden ride around the circle pen all by himself! He did a great job directing Cinnamon around the pen.

Feed Me, Daddy!Liam started eating rice cereal a couple of weeks ago, and he seems to enjoy it. He eats a small bowl of it each evening, and desperately needs a bath after each feeding. He still pushes most of it out of his mouth, but he is getting better at swallowing. His favorite part of mealtime is playing with his spoon.

Cute Cousins

Braden, Lydia and Hattie were inseparable over Christmas vacation. They even took horseback riding lessons together. Hattie has been doing it for a couple of months now, and Grandma and Auntie Ann took Braden and Lydia to a couple of lessons while we were visiting. Now it is Braden's favorite thing, and he has started lessons here. He just had his first lesson at his new riding club last week.

Our Eventful Trip to MD

You may have seen us or some of our fellow travelers on CNN. We were treated to four star airport accomodations in Chicago on December 21st! What an adventure! But we didn't walk away empty-handed! We are now the proud owners of a nice set of American Airlines blankets!

Santa Vader!

Braden received a new Darth Vader mask for Christmas, and he and Lydia had fun dressing up.
