Play Along!

Here is a fun game my friend Mendy started on her blog:

Okay, as a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty cool (and funny) to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you :) If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Oh my goodness, I have so many wonderful memories of you! I guess the one I'll post is from our wedding. You were what... about 10? I remember you dancing with Uncle Bobby and your Grandpa. We didn't bother with tossing the garter or bouquet, so I gave my toss bouquet to you. Later, when we were getting ready to leave, you and I sat out front of the hall having a great little conversation. But the best part of that day for me was when you called me "Aunt" Dawn for the first time!

No fair, Melodie! You posted my favorite memory of us on my blog. It's really okay, though, because you I have countless fun memories of you.

I am thinking of the time when I very first bought my house and you were soooo sweet to come over. Not only did you wade through the boxes to keep me company, but you also you dug right in and helped me put my playroom together! It was awesome. Then, when you were going through my kitchen, you told me that I had put everything right where you would have. I still think of that every time someone is at my house and starts opening all the wrong cupboards in search of a drinking glass. I think to myself, "It's in the most logical place. Melodie could find everything, why can't you?!" You're one of a kind, friend.

This was a recurring event from our Freshman year: after all of our roommies would go to bed, it would be just you and me up late (sometimes all night) studying. The uniform: sweatpants and our Young Hall t-shirts. After about two days of this, Molly would BEG us to change! (thinking back, yeah, that was kind of gross!) Somewhere around 2:00 a.m. we would leave the apartment and walk to Kent's for REAL COKE! I loved our midnight walks. We'd talk about important stuff or just be goofy. Yeah, we were goofy a lot. What a great year--and somehow we passed all of our classes! Bonus!
