Long Time No Post

You may wonder where I've been. Actually, anyone who has had a new baby join their family probably isn't wondering. I have just been a little busy. When I am not trying to keep my head above the mountains of laundry, cooking, cleaning, going to doctor appointments, shuttling children to baseball practices, games, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, dance, getting them to practice piano, do chores and homework . . . gasp! Whew -- when I'm not doing those things, I am busy gazing into this face:
I am also busy trying not to miss the unique discoveries that this little guy is making: He is so good at sign language. He uses signs for more, bird, dog, eat, and several others. He has developed a love of hats, and especially likes to wear Daddy's baseball caps.

This one keeps me busy, too:

She is such a fun combination of pink and frilly and complete tomboy. She is absolutely loving T-ball, and looks so cute running around the bases. She has earned all of her Daisy Petals at Girl Scouts, and we are about to finish up our year and she will become a Brownie. She is also preparing for her dance recital in two weeks.

Oh, and then there's this guy:

I am so proud of him. He was so disappointed at his first baseball game because he didn't get a chance to bat. But he stuck with it, and he is doing great. It is so fun to see him succeeding, and the excitement on his face when he hits the ball and runs all of the bases. He has already earned his Bear at Cub Scouts, and will officially become a Webelo at the end of the month.

I am having a difficult time trying to do all of the things that have to be done, and still remembering that this time in my children's lives is speeding by. I'm on my own again. Morgan is gone for the next 7 weeks, and that, combined with exhaustion and hormones makes for a lot of emotions. But we are getting by. I want to do more than "get by," but sometimes that is all we can do. But how can I not be grateful when I look at those faces above? They make everything worth it.

I can't guarantee when you will see another post. But don't worry about me. I have these little angels to keep up with, and I probably just don't have a free hand for typing.

It's good to hear from you! You're such a busy gal these days... but enjoy every moment you can because one day... like Trace Adkins says in his latest hit... "you're going to miss this, you're going to want this back, you're going to wish these days hadn't gone by so fast, these are some good times, so take a good look around, you may not know it now, but you're going to miss this". LOVE YOU!!! :-)

melodie,
I don't know how you do it all. There was a conference talk by Elder Ballard for the young mothers(sunday afternoon session). I have read and listened to it many times these past few weeks. It gives you perspective of how do we as mothers do it all. You amaze me with all you do with Morgan gone so frequently. Baby grayson is so adorable and the others are growing up so fast. Take care and remember the best thing sometimes is to just say no and downsize on activities, Jessica

This is another adorable picture I display life size where he gets a ton of kisses. I love to walk up and kiss his neck before I start kissing his mouth and lips. So much fun!
